Čekamo CD i tačka. Meni se iskreno, sviđa. Baš mi deluje pozitivno kao osoba.

Po hiljaditi put. Tuomas nije lud ni glup, izabrao je najbolju, on zna šta mu je potrebno. I, nije ona "kriva" što je u bendu zato. Ko god da je došao posle Tarje, vi biste ga ispljuvali, to je sigurno. Iskreno, i meni je Tarja bila mnogo simpa, ali , šta da se radi....

Alena (Germany): Have you ever seen Nightwish live on stage or met one of the band members before you were picked to join them?

Anette: No, I haven't. I have only seen the DVD End of an Era.



Kristin (Germany): You said Tuomas called you once and said you were not going to be the new singer, even though you sang great. What was the reason he told you so? And why did he change his mind?

Anette: This was because I had a child, but as he has told me afterwards he was overreacting and felt overly afraid of more problems in the band in the future.



Alex (Siegen (Deutschland)): Why are you releasing the album so late? It seems to be finished already (if it isn't feel free to tell me otherwise ;) ).

Anette: This has to do with the fact that if we would release the album already before the summer, we would have to do some festivals as my first gigs and the guys felt that it will be easier for me to do a tour in US as the first gigs.



Myra (New York): What is the greatest lesson you have learned as a mother? :)

Anette: I have learned so much and still learn every day, so hard to say one thing. Maybe to be patient, take a deep breath and not take things to serious all the time;=)



Joana (Portugal): Have you read the NW book? If so, what did you think of it?

Anette: I have gotten the book, but have decided not to read it since I want to get to know the guys from scratch. I don't want anyone else's words and thoughts about them, since I never judge people beforehand. I think it's important to always judge for yourself and not listen to other people.





celeste (chile): What do you feel when you are singing?

Anette: Singing is and has always for me been a way of handling all the feelings I have inside. I sing when I am sad, happy, angry, bitter, naughty etc... so many feelings come to me when I sing music I love and I cry easily when I sing something emotional.



Darko (Sweden): 1) Who was the first one you told about your new job as the vocalist of Nightwish?

2) Was it hard to keep it a secret? Were you ever close to "slip up" and accidentally tell someone?

Anette: 1) It was my big brother.

2) Yes, it was very hard. You want to share a big thing like this and having to keep it a secret from everyone for so long is hard. Since I can't lie that good, I had to keep away from my friends for those months and just hope they would understand why after the news finally were out. And luckily they all did!



Meira (Helsinki): I already asked this from Tuomas so now it's your turn; Which character from the Moomin would you be? ;)

Anette: Hmmm...I think I am a combination of Mumin and Too-Ticki;=) I have both the naive mind of Mumin and the down-to-earth spirit of Too-Ticki.



Carol Ann Trachy (Montréal): I would like to know if you intend to be part of the creative process of the next album(s)? Would you to do it and do you think Tuomas will be open to this idea?

Anette: Tuomas will always write the lyrics, they are his "babies" so to say. But the music and melodies are something all of us can contribute with, so it's not impossible that I will contribute with something in the future, if I have some nice ideas that the other guys also like.



Kenny Gastmans (Tessenderlo, Belgium): I know it sounds very stupid, but can you sing the old song very well? Your voice is different from Tarja's and I'd like to hear you sing some old songs :)

Anette: No, this is absolutely not a stupid question.. I understand that many fans are worried and wondering if I will be able to sing the old songs. We will play an equal amount of old and new songs on the tour and I will sing all the old songs in my own way. The songs will still be as before, no radical re-arranging or anything, just the difference that it's my voice on them this time. Hopefully, you all will accept my interpretation of them and continue to take the songs to your hearts.





Kathy (): 1. How did your family react when you told them that you were the new Nightwish singer?

2. Will there be ballads on the new album?

Anette: 1) They got so happy and very proud of me;=)

2) Yes, there will.



Nora (Hungary): What was the hardest part of the audition for you?

Anette: The whole long process of waiting. To not be able to plan my life because I didn´t know what would happen in my near future.



Paul Flynn (Cork, Ireland): What bands/artists are you currently listening to, especially ones from the metal/alterternative scene?

Anette: Sonata Arctica, Amorphis, Tarot, Within Temptation.



DMLucia (Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania): How do you cope with the fact that you're going to be on tour with Nightwish for about two and a half years (including breaks of course) and you're the mother of a child?

Anette: This is a question everyone asks ;=) There are many men and women who have travelling jobs and are away equally long and have children, just like me. Many jobs require you to be away from home for long periods and for me it's a choice I have made, to work as a singer in a band and tour the world. My son and I communicate through sms, phone and computer when I am away and when I am at home I spend my time with him as much as I can. He has so many who love him and it's working out very well. He is proud of me and loves what I do.



maria (varkaus): What kind of performer you are on stage? And do you change clothes about a million times like Tarja did? :D

Anette: I go into the feelings in the songs and interpret them differently, depending on the mood and lyrics. I like to move around and rock with the guys on stage and feel that we all are having a good time, both the band and the audience. I won't change clothes so much, unless there is some special occasion as a dvd-recording or likewise.





valeria (italy): What do you think about Tuomas' lyrics? Do you understand the meaning?

Anette: I have been singing so many different genres before, but I have never been singing songs with so special and emotional lyrics. The meaning of his words is not always on the surface, which makes it so much more interesting to try to interpret and to understand them. I feel that I understand his words very well but of course only Tuomas himself know the very true meaning behind his words.



David Connolly (Waterford, Ireland): If you could pick any country or venue in the world to perform, where would it be and why?

Anette: Ever since I was a little child I have always said that I want to sing in Wembley Arena some day, so I guess I have to stick to that;=)



Nina (Kajaani): Are you nervous about the forthcoming shows? :)

Anette: I try not to worry so much, especially not when it's still quite some time to go. For me, it's more a way of preparing myself vocally and mentally so that when the tour starts I am secure in the songs and my mind.



ocean soul (kerava): What is your worst fear about stepping in "Tarja's shoes"?

Anette: I don't feel any "fear" about this. The guys have chosen me as their vocalist and we all like each other and have a great time. That is what is important to me, that they like me and support me. As long as I know they are behind me I don't feel scared.



nightsun (croatia): Who is your idol and why!!

Anette: I don't have any idol in that way anymore, but I do look up to people who are humble and don't think to much of themselves.





Lance K. (Bridgewater, NJ): How do you describe the new material Nightwish is writing and do you like it?

Anette: The new album is amazing in so many ways. It's an album with a lot of variety, from the hardest song NW ever has done to maybe the softest one they have done. There are celtic influences and also ethnical influences. The orchestra and choirs are great and the mix of all these elements blends together in a way so that the listener can feel like being in a cinema.



David (California): I've noticed that when you sing in English, you have less of an accent than almost any other Scandinavian vocalist I've come across. How did you learn English originally and sing with such a convincing accent? I'm sure that the accent is a problem for a lot of not native speaking vocalists, was it difficult for you?

Anette: I have always had a thing for words and language and it's been my favourite subject in school. I have always been singing mainly in english and I have both studied it from the age of 9 and also worked with english for many years, both writing, reading and translating back and forth. For me, english is as natural as swedish and I think the best way of learning it is to use it as much as u can.



Anja (Deutschland): How do you deal with the "old" Nightwish fans (or however you wish to call them) who don't accept you because they still compare you to Tarja?

Anette: I have learned through my life that u never can be loved by everyone. There will always be someone that don't like me or my voice, but I can't do anything about that.



(): How did the video shoots in Los Angeles go?
Can you tell us anything about them, or is all top-secret? ;)

Anette: It was great!! I was very nervous before but when the cameras started rolling I just loved it! The videos are done by Antti Jokinen and I can only talk about the first one, since the other one still has to be secret. Amaranth will be based upon a famous finnish painting called "The Wounded Angel".

We will come to England next year, so see u then!



Basilis (Greece): What kind of music do you hear when you want to relax?:):)

Anette: It varies, but the very best relaxation music for me is new age music. Ocean sounds, flute, piano and some soft dolphin sounds.
